I'm sorry I've been so lacking in updates. I started this blog because I didn't have time to keep everyone informed, and now I feel like I never have time to update it!
The good news is that Sam is doing really well. He's happy as anything and making a lot of progress developmentally. He's rolling all over and even "scooted" forward a few times! He's especially motivated by the iPad. If you put it across the room, he will find a way to get to it no matter what. He also knows what a "nose" is and will point to your nose if you ask him to. (So we play that game A LOT! :) He is so sweet and so affectionate, and I still think he gets cuter every day if that's even possible!
The not so great news is that he has had some breakthrough seizures this week. Not too bad, but of course enough to make us worried. We are not even halfway through the wean yet, so we are praying that drug is not failing. Since we have had such good seizure control, the thought of going backwards is really scary. We go on Tuesday for an EEG so that we can see what is going on, and then we see his neurologist the following week. Hopefully, we can either add another drug, or some additional steroids. Anything to keep these evil seizures at bay.
So please continue to keep Sammy in your prayers these coming weeks. I will keep you updated as we get results in and make a plan. You know my goal is to get this little man on the beach this summer!
